■First in Japan to Receive SBT Certification in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry

In June 2023, we established our greenhouse gas emission reduction goals (to achieve by 2030), and received a certification from the international organization “SBT Initiative.” This certification endorses the validity of greenhouse gas emission reduction targets based on scientific scrutiny by organizations like the United Nations, and marks the first instance in Japan of such a certification being received in the hotel and restaurant industry.

SBT (Science Based Targets) involve setting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with the levels required by the international framework of the Paris Agreement, with a focus on a timeframe of five to 10 years.
